Instead of a chart as its hard to place things in order, I'm going to list here some of my most cherished records that feature regularly in my sets... These are also the tracks that people always ask me the names of, so hopefully this might be of use to someone: WEVIE STONDER - 'TON WAH' FROM THE ALBUM 'THE AGE OLD AGE OF OLD AGE' ON SONIG This is a wicked track .. commonly refered to as 'the bollard track', where the wevie's give random directions containing the immortal refrain "Look out, theres a bollard!" TODD SINES - 'THE STATIC EP' RESIDUAL009 Absolutely spanking ultra stripped suggestive freekin bleep track with fat subbass, continuing the X trak legacy in fine style.. For all fans of the real minimal techno..If you ever enjoyed Dan Bell's DBX stuff or if you've never heard of it...this one's still for you! QUICK N SMART RE-EDIT BY SHITHAUZ (MUSTARD GUNN & SIIDIIX) - COIN OPERATED 002 Put quite simply, this track literally explodes from the soundsystem.. a thick slab of sound with edits galore taking in all techno strands with hip hop scratch samples complementing the more than sturdy buttress... Always a winner.. CANDIE HANK - 'BOOTY BANK' - SONIG Another prime strike from Sonig by DHR artist patric catani. This is a lively, silly, guaranteed floor filler.. Its not techno.. its not anything.. i won't even try to pigeon hole it but it rocks the custard with a punk energy (but don't think this is another mediocre electro punk/pop cheeseball). Will put a smile on everyone's face and do the business.. Check this guy out! ps. theres also a fine cover version of the munsters theme on this .. KENO-1 & THE HERMIT - 'HEAVY HEAVY' on BREAKIN BREAD This one's a killer.. fat fat 'avin it instrumental b boy hip hop with furious horn stabs - does EXACTLY what it says on the tin.. MR LIF - 'LIVE FROM THE PLANTATION' on DEF JUX Ultra sharp production (by the excellent Edan), infectious bassline, amazing lyrical flow centering around the monotony and hard slog of a dead end job, to put it bluntly, this track has it all and in my opinion is the BEST HIP HOP track made since the early 90's
