Tomas Nordström was born and raised in the suburbs of
stockholm and started creatin´ out of tune chipmusic in
1992 on the amiga500. He came into contact with electronic
music thanx to his brother. he started buying hardcore, acid, gabber and pure techno vinyls and cd's
Around 1995-96 Tommy and Robert started makin´ music together, at first they're sound was more 'trad.'loop-based techno, but
then they found Neil landstrumm's highly influencial "brown by august"LP and thought it was so fucking good that they changed
direction and began making bonkbonk music.
A year or so later after coming into contact with fredrik who
just lived 10min away (thanx again to their big brothers) they all got together and found out pretty soon that making crazy and stupid sounds was an interest they shared... This three man 'bonkin' machine then set up 5 production outfits between them with various musical styles, themes and names.. One of which was TSR.
TSR was founded in 1997 and just two years later Peter Tang got in contact with them wanting to release a record... so in 1999 Fredrik had "Bubblin´ Mechanism" released on InvisibleFish001 "party at the end of the future". A year later came their first full release, the fantastic "We´re not sick men" that saw a definate new sound emerging that was obviously heading somewhere. This release was initially limited to 500copies although more were eventually repressed.
Tomas is currently exploring his own sound which caught the ears of one Michael Forshaw who released the awesomely epic "Dist of Fury" EP and confirmed Tomas' ability as a solo artist of immense ability.
